Uasau Soap was created in 2012 as a handcraft right here in Iqaluit Nunavut. I started using rich luxurious and exotic butters to combat dry skin, caused by Nunavut’s dry desert climate. In 2013, Bowhead whale blubber was gifted to me by a fellow Inuk and I was asked to incorporate the blubber into our products. Ever since, I’ve been making soap, lotions and salves with products found right here.
